June 9 - Knit & Crochet in Public Day
World Wide Knit -- and Crochet -- in Public Day was started in 2005 and takes place on the 2nd Saturday of June each year. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company. Knit in Public Day is unique, in that it's the largest knitter run event in the world. The Day is really about showing the general public that knitting (and crocheting) can be a community activity in a very distinct way. The Fibre Nook is excited to participate in #knitinpublicday! Come join the knitting fun out front of our shop, all day long! Feel free to bring along your favourite lawn chair to ensure your comfort.
