This beautiful, squishy stitch has become a staple in many contemporary knitting pattern designs. We’ll cover basic techniques in the first class and cast on a project of your choosing in the second class. In the first class, we’ll show you: how brioche stitches differ from knit stitches; gauge; cast on and bind off considerations; structure of brioche knitting; how to knit in one colour brioche; & how to read written and chart instructions for one colour brioche.
Participants will then learn: how to brioche knit using two colours; some best practices for colour selection; terminology used in brioche patterns; cast on and bind off considerations for two colour brioche; & how to read written and chart instructions for two colour brioche.
We’ll cover both English and Continental knitting styles in the class. This class is also well suited to those who need a little refresher or some guidance with knitting their brioche project.
