DESCRIPTION
Are you ready for the skill-stretching techniques gained in knitting socks from the toe up? If you’ve been making top-down socks and want to flip that process and learn new skills, this class is your ticket. You will learn the magic loop cast-on method, short rows to shape the heel, and end with a stretchy bind off. You will also learn how to measure and make a gauge swatch for the perfect pair of socks.
Thursdays, November 7, 14, 21 & 28, 6-8pm
PREREQUISITE
Participants must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches, and the basic decreases of K2TOG and SSK.

TECHNIQUES TO LEARN
Sock knitting in the round using DPNs or magic loop, heel flap, turn the heel, measuring for fit, stretchy bind-off.
MATERIALS TO BRING
100g of DK weight sock yarn and a 3.25mm 80cm needle. The pattern will be supplied.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1
Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies for the class.
Should supplies be required & bought in shop, a 10% discount will be applied to a one time purchase only, before or on the first day of class. Customers showing their TFN tote bag will receive an additional 5% discount.
Staff will confirm the class registration details at time of discounted supplies purchase.
