WORKSHOP: HOLLI YEOH – THE CROCHET HOOK—A KNITTER’S FRIEND
A crochet hook or two should be in every knitter’s bag. Join us to learn several wonderful tricks and techniques using the trusty crochet hook. You will build your skills as a knitter and learn alternate ways to cast on, bind off, seam, incorporate beads and reclaim those pesky dropped stitches and correct errors.

MATERIALS TO BRING
- Homework swatches (handout with description will be provided by TFN upon workshop registration)
- Two colours of worsted weight yarn in a light to medium colour
- 4.5 mm (US 7) knitting needles
- two crochet hooks, one about the same size as the needles and another about two sizes smaller
- 0.5 or 0.6 mm crochet hook
A Note about Holli: Holli’s passion for knitting has spanned a lifetime, from learning to knit as a child to her arts degree majoring in textiles and jewelry, and a solid 15+ years of design and teaching experience. Her work has appeared in industry leading publications including Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Amirisu and Twist Collective, as well as in her Ravelry shop and book Tempest, published in collaboration with Sweet Georgia Yarns. Holli feels strongly about fine craftsmanship, believing that while there’s more than one right way to do things, it’s important to do it right! To this end, she teaches skills that enable knitters to feel justified pride in their finished objects, while accommodating different knitting styles and preferences. Students leave her workshops with an arsenal of valuable techniques, deep understanding of the choices to be make in knitting, and new confidence.
