WORKSHOP: BREED SPECIFIC KNITTING with Anna Hunter

$90.00
Start Date: Feb. 21 5-8pm

Each breed of sheep produces a distinct type of wool for knitting and crochet. Understanding the qualities and characteristics of these breeds will inform and accentuate your knitting. Texture, colourwork, cables and drape are all affected by the unique wool blends.

This workshop will explore the aspects and features of sheep's wool, and provide an overview of some accessible single-breed wools and the variety they can offer to your knitting and other related hand work. Anna will dive into the history and tradition of these unique sheep breeds and their wool. This workshop is hands on; you will be able to touch and experiment with breeds in their different forms (raw, carded, spun, knit/crochet).

Participants will take home 100g of a variety of breed specific yarn.
