DESCRIPTION
Learn how to knit cables in this two-part class, using the Antler Toque pattern by Tin Can Knits. We will discuss the anatomy of cables, how to read a cable chart, how to work cables with and without a cable needle, how to decrease in pattern, and finishing tips for your toque.

PREREQUISITE
Beyond Basics Knitting class, or equivalent.
SKILL LEVEL
Advanced beginners who are comfortable with knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast on, bind off, knitting in the round, and have completed a simple project using a pattern.

MATERIALS
100 g worsted weight yarn
4.0 mm 16" circular OR set of 5, 6" DPN (double pointed) needles
5.0 mm 16" circular OR set of 5, 6" DPN (double pointed) needles
Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers and cable knitting needles
HOMEWORK
Please print out the Antler Toque pattern, a free pattern from Tin Can Knits. Work the k1, p1 ribbing for your desired size, stopping at the Cable Section in the pattern.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1
Participants are welcome to bring their own materials/supplies for the class.
Should supplies be required & bought in shop, a 10% discount will be applied to a one time purchase only, before or on the first day of class. Customers showing their TFN tote bag will receive an additional 5% discount.
Staff will confirm the class registration details at time of discounted supplies purchase.
