Falkland wool is sourced from the Falkland Isles. This fibre is wonderful to work with and has a high fibre strength but a soft hand. Falkland wool averages about 24 microns and is suitable for next to skin items.
Targhee is a fun wool to work with and makes a plump bouncy yarn. Please note that this fibre will felt.
Superwash Merino 19.5 micron. This fibre is very soft and creates a nice elastic yarn when spun. Enjoy!
Polwarth is a lovely fibre to work with. It has a micron count of 22, which is comparable in softness to merino, but has a longer staple length. This longer staple makes it easier for beginners to work with. Polwarth blooms in a wonderful way once the twist is set and creates a plump bouncy yarn that works great for next to skin items.
75% Superwash Merino / 15% Cashmere/10% Silk. Because the wool in this blend is superwash it is not ideal for felting. Despite this it is recommended that you hand wash items created with this base to extend the life of the fibres.
75% BFL / 25% Tussah Silk commercial top. This fibre is a dream to spin and the silk adds a lovely sheen to the finished product!
80% Targhee / 10% Bamboo / 10% Silk wool top. This is a lovely luxury fibre. The bamboo does not take up the dye and the silk will take the colour more richly than the targhee will which creates a unique effect in the finished yarn. I hope you enjoy working with this fibre. Please note that this fibre will felt.
